United Saints of Oil, Recent work by Dylan Egon
58 Gallery hosted Dylan Egon's new solo show on 58 Coles st. Jersey City, on Friday June 5th. It was in conjunction with the JC Fridays, a quarterly event ran by Art House Productions. The evening was full of great music in several venues The Grands Banks Restaurant, Grove St PATH station and 58 itself, with a totally of 9 bands, each doing about an hour set. Although I went and saw many of the bands, as well as artists' studios though out the day I only documented 58's show.

New York Academy of Art, Summer Exhibition
I went to a salon styled show at NYAA on Tuesday night. It was the 3rd annual summer exhibition. I only saw the one last year online, and I had work in the first one, two years ago.
I felt over all it was hung very well for the amount of work that was accepted, however struck me as a bit full on the 2 walls that had smaller works. The work was very strong and I was made me proud to be an alumnus from that program.

I have kept a art website up for the last 10 years. I've never kept a process/inspiration blog though. So I'm going to attempt to do it. I'm not much of a writer, so I will probably just post a bunch of images.. Things that I'm finding online, pictures that I'm taking, drawings and small paintings.
